Sweet, gentle Woody went to the Rainbow Bridge. Jeff, Jeanne, Josh and Amber were with Woody until the end. Jeanne saw Woody on Alexa's Rescue page. Jeff made "secret arrangement" with Alexa to pick Woody up in Seattle for Jeanne's 2004 Mother Day's surprise. Jeanne wanted Woody, she just knew they could provide him the perfect home. Alexa had to make a lot of silly excuses about his availability to keep Jeff's secret. You can see FROM the pictures, Jeanne got her Mother's wish. Woody immediately won over this family's hearts, plus everyone who met him. Woody and Gracie, another sweet rescue basset became steadfast friends. Josh was so proud when Woody won the "most Freckles" contest at the Basset Blast. Woody was "older than dirt", when he joined the Allenton family, but he received more love in his time with them, than he had in his whole life. He stayed as long as he could. He was totally loved and pampered. Gracie's mournful howling for him, represent what this whole family are feeling. Blessing to all....
