Molly Ann Reber
May15,1993–August 22,2005

Molly was born in Pinehurst, Idaho, and came to live at the Reber home in June of 1993. She was the cutest puppy that ever was, —cute as a bug sporting pink tummy and toes. She quickly became the —pink princess of the house, with such nicknames as Buggie, Bugga-lou, or just Bug.
Dudley and Molly were instant companions, even though it was clearly —all about her from the start. She could really be a —female dog to Dudley at times, but all-in-all she was very sweet, generous with the kisses, and a good friend. She even walked on water!

Molly liked kittyroca, —tummy-tummy rubs, drinking from the pond, running around the dining room table as fast as she could while we chanted —go bugga, go bugga, and food of all kinds. She was the queen of comfort, propping herself up on the sofa with pillows, and getting the best spot on the bed–which to her was the middle. . . Of course! When she was told to —scoot she would growl and play-bite while being shoved to the corner of the bed, and seemed to get a good belly-laugh out of the nightly ritual.

She had been through a lot in her 12 years of life: hip and back pain treated with glucosamine, cancer surgery on her chest early in life, glaucoma resulting in removing her left eye a year and a half ago, and several miserable days having a tumor on her back go from 1/2 a muffin to 1/2 a basketball before our eyes. She could barely move, and when she refused food we knew it was very serious. Although she was a very verbal dog when it came to what made her happy, she never once complained about the pain in her life -not a whimper, not a growl, not even a yelp when being handled.

We made the decision to say goodbye when we knew that it was an aggressive cancer. Four of her favorite people (Dudley, Larry, Laura and Dr. Fosberg) were all by her side as she took her final breath. It was quick and peaceful, and we knew she was no longer in pain.

We thank God for the special gift of Molly in our lives for 12 years. She will be sorely missed.

Goodnight sweet princess
