In Memory of Flash-Focker The Basset Hound

Flash was so old and frail and did not look ANYTHING LIKE the dog in these photographs.

SO Flash came back returned to the Rescue because frankly the thing was he was sooo old..older than the adopter had imagined the Vet said he was too old! Imagine that!? How CAN you be TOO OLD!!! He did not LIKE the new home or the dogs there although he liked the person...and so when he came back we figured we would just have him as our dog the way it often happens in Rescue. Hardly anyone will risk it and yes who wants to risk their heart being broken with the dogs loss. Flash was very old and although we had done a few little cosmetic things and cleaned his teeth and removed some teeth...he "might" really be gonna COST $$$ as well as heartbreak..and people just will often not risk the adoption and we understand that only...we always HOPE HOPE HOPE.

Well in walked Charlie and he just chose Flash. It was just great..Charlie adopted Flash and gave him a new name for his new life. They went EVERYWHERE TOGETHER. These photos show him on Mount Rainier and on the Beach at Longview. Where..Charlie says it is the only place where" Focker" (Remember the movie Meet The Fockers"?) would RUN!!!!

For 2 1/2 YEARS this old dog seemed to look younger and younger..he was so happy. He BELONGED with Charlie they sure were good buddies...the way you would always wish it were so.He was a beautiful dog wasn't he? We will never forget him. Charlie what a Happy Life you gave this dog.
