Sherlock  Basset Hound

Don and his wife came over to visit Tubby. Tubby has just come in and was just a sweet, funny chubby boy. When they came in Don sat down and Sherlock put his feet on Don's legs and smothering him with kisses. Sherlock picked his family and we all knew it. Tubby, reminded them they had come to see him, and turned on his charm. Being previous basset rescue people, it only took them a second to decide to take both. Jackie is a walker, which is going to be great for Tubby, and Sherlock is excellent on leash and love to walk.

Sherlock is a SPECIAL NEEDS boy. Sherlock must have been abused as he is very fearful when fist meeting new people, he barks and gives little growls. BUT once he knows you are friendly he warms up and you can maul him from head to the tip if his tail. And over he rolls for a tummy rub and gives tons of puppy kisses. Sherlock loves to go for walks and is great on a leash. Sherlock would not be well in a home with lots of strangers or children coming in and out. My grandchildren ages, 9 and 13, he thinks are great, but he initially upon meeting them went into his bark (I'm tough) act.
