As planned since February, Rivka flew out from NY to get Maggie Mae and go to the Basset Blast. Rivka made Maggie Mae a darling mermaid costume. Rivka fell in love with Maggie Mae on first sight and Maggie Mae loves all the attention she is getting. No more having to share attention with all the other bassets. Rivka had a basset when she was a child, and has wanted one now that she is an adult. Rivka has been purchasing beds, quilts, toys, basset dishes and every imaginable item a pampered pooch could ever desire. So Maggie Mae is going off to be totally loved NY girl. Rod Stewart sang about Maggie Mae
stealing his heart, this Maggie Mae will steal you heart. Maggie Mae was a
stray picked up by Animal Control, she was not putting any weight on one
of her hind legs. She is now in rescue and her leg has been checked and
probably is just a bruise. With anti-inflammatory medication she is no
longer in pain and using her leg. Maggie Mae will be spayed on Nov 2nd,
and if her leg is still causing her problems complete X-Ray will be taken
to find the problem. This is one sweet loving little girl, she even just
lays there while you trim her nails!!!!!! |
