Jan found Sandy wandering around her neighborhood and took
her in. She put up posters, put Sandy in the newspaper under found dogs
and no one called about her. So she took her over to the shelter. The
shelter called rescue and I went and picked her up. Sandy had a large
sebaceous cyst on her head which had ruptured, plus she had a number of
other sebaceous cysts. Her poor ears were so infected she could barely
hear. I took her into my wonderful vet. He found that her spleen was very
enlarged. Sandy was a older girl and her chances of surviving major
surgery was slim. We felt it was best to put her on antibiotics and pain
medication, and let her lounge around until her time. Jan called and I
explained Sandy's condition. Jan asked if Sandy could come and spend
remaining time with her and her family. Jan has continued to treat her
ears and Sandy can now hear. Sandy has a soft comfy home, where she is
loved. There are some wonderful people in this world - Jan is special.
