Just wanted to update you on
Lucy. We are so in love with her. It seems like she has lived with us all
her life. She has been going on hikes, playing with Callie and curling up
in bed with Derek at night. She knows Derek is her boy, and follows him
everywhere. Her tail has not stopped wagging. She didn't eat much the
first couple of days, but the vet said that was normal as she is just too
excited. She also is making it through the night without any accidents. I
still can't believe that we got a dog sight unseen and have her be such a
perfect match for our family.
Lucy is oh so lucky to have found such a great family and Derek to take her on hikes and play with and snuggle with at night. Sweet Lucy's owner has purebred hunting dogs and 20 open
acres. He said the his hunting dogs were following Lucy off on her
adventures and he was spending too much time tracking her and his boys
down. Lucy is a darling 3 year old red and white little girl. She was an
outside dog, but once here she figured out the doggie door and with only
one day of taking her out and praising her, she has the house training
down. She loves the big warm, soft pillows and is doing very well with
house manners. She came in to rescue in heat, and of course the neutered
boys here loved her at first sight, and she is such a sweetie the girls
bassets here where great with her and are playing. She was spayed Tuesday,
and had a great check up - passing with flying colors. She loves pets and
would love to be a loving lap girl.
