Buddy found his forever
home with Nichol and her family. Nichol fell in love with him the
minute she saw him. Nichol says he is such a joy, as he is such a
happy boy. He loves to go places with the family and has fit in
wonderfully.
This is the owner's
comment about Buddy"
This is Buddy, he will be one year old in June 2003.
He is very smart, and can do many "tricks" like roll over,
shake, lay, sit, come, stay, and he loves to play fetch. Although if
Buddy is not in the mood to do any tricks you may only get him to
perform once and then he is done. He is a very energetic dog
and needs lots of room to run and play. He loves children's
playground equipment and loves to go down slides. He is
house broken and used to staying in a kennel at night or while we are
gone. He likes to chew anything plastic, and also to shred papers
or books, so keeping them out of reach is a good idea. Buddy is
very loving, but he will not lick people so much in the face like other
dogs. He likes to sniff his family and give their hands or feet
quick kisses not long slobbery ones. he loves to be petted and
massaged, and will lay with you and enjoy this for long periods of time.
In addition to the kennel Buddy has two beds and lots of toys. He
is a very good while walking and has learned how to stay at my Husband's
side during walks, although I have to remind him to heel more
often. He is not fixed at the moment, but he has an appointment ot
be fixed on 4-17-03. Hopefully this will reduce some of his
hyperness. We are trying to find Buddy a good home because we are
expecting a baby in July and we know that Buddy is not going to do too
well in a home with such a small child. We hope to maybe find an
owner or family, whose children are at least teenagers, with
lots of time and space to devote to Buddy. Buddy likes to chase
our cat, and has never hurt her, but it can be a constant headache to
keep them apart for us and the cat. So the home Buddy goes to
probably should not have a cat. Buddy loves other dogs, and would
do well in a home that already has one. While in his home or yard
Buddy does bark at strangers constantly, so if you have a home with a
small yard and lots of neighbors this is not the dog for you. Also,
Buddy is not used to being outside for long periods of time, and is
an indoor dog. A doggy door would be a great asset. He is a
very good, smart and loving dog and we hope to find an excellent match
for him where he will be loved and well cared for.
